Moroccan Pendant Lights
Moroccan Pendant Lights — Handmade Brass & Metal Lanterns
Moroccan pendant lights are hand-pierced by metalworkers, using the same hammer-and-punch technique passed down through generations of craftsmen — no molds, no mass production. Each hole is placed by hand, which is what creates the signature effect these lights are known for: warm light scattered through a pierced brass or metal shade, casting intricate shadow patterns across the ceiling and walls instead of a flat beam of light.
Where They Work Best
- Kitchen islands — clustered in twos or threes, pierced pendants add warmth without the harshness of standard downlighting
- Entryways — a single statement lantern is often the first thing a guest notices walking in
- Dining rooms — the shadow-pattern effect works especially well over a table at eye level
- Bedrooms — smaller pierced pendants as bedside lighting, softer than a lamp
Materials & Craft
Our pendant lights are handmade from brass, nickel-plated metal, or a mix, hand-pierced with traditional tools by artisans working in the same tradition as the weavers behind our rug collection. Because each piece is made and pierced by hand, small variations in the pattern and finish are normal — that's the mark of something made by a person, not a factory.
