Moroccan Leather Poufs
Moroccan Leather Poufs — Genuine Handmade Leather
Each pouf in this collection is hand-stitched from genuine leather by artisans in Morocco, using the same tanning and embroidery techniques passed down for generations. A large share of "Moroccan poufs" sold online are actually faux leather or vinyl — ours are real leather, which means they develop a natural patina over time rather than cracking or peeling the way synthetic materials do.
How to Tell Genuine Leather From Faux
- Smell — genuine leather has a distinct natural smell; vinyl/faux leather often smells plasticky or has no smell at all
- Texture — real leather has natural grain variation; faux leather is usually uniformly textured
- Wear pattern — genuine leather softens and develops a patina with age; vinyl cracks and peels
- Stitching — hand-stitched embroidery on real leather shows small natural irregularities; machine-stitched faux versions are perfectly uniform
Shipping & Stuffing
Our poufs ship unstuffed/flat to keep shipping costs reasonable — once it arrives, you'll fill it yourself with the stuffing of your choice (old clothes, fabric scraps, or a purchased pouf filler all work well). [Confirm this matches your actual fulfillment method, or update if you ship pre-stuffed.]
